Matsuo Jingisukan

Service is impeccable. The waitresses are patient and attentive. The waitress demonstrated the way to cook the lamb and veg. The lamb meat is so good and tender. Vegetables soaked up the special sauce which made it so flavourful.

There’s an English menu available and a professional, English-speaking waitress to help you understand the choices and place your order. She’ll even show you exactly where to place the sprouts and vegetables on the hot plate, cooking the first round right in front of you as a demonstration. The attentive waitstaff and hall attendant ensure that every detail is taken care of, and as we left, even the kitchen staff greeted us with warmth and hospitality.

Delicious food, staff did a great job of showing us how to cook genghis khan - if you haven’t tried this food before (and you should!) this is a very safe, easy way to try it out. Highly recommended.

I didn’t want to leave Sapporo without trying out a Genghis Khan bbq at least once. This location was perfect as it was close to my hotel, the staff was kind and I had my order within minutes. I went with their standard lunch menu. I like that the grill had a sloped design which let the veggies cook into the juices from the meat. It made for a much heartier meal. I had a good time at this Genghis Khan.

First time eating Genghis Khan in Sapporo here. We chose the set that has 4 types of meat. Staff were very helpful--we communicated through basic Japanese. Orders can be done via a tablet, which has an English language option, or through their staff. As for the food itself, the meat was very tasty, and the sauce that was served complemented the meat well. We ordered haskap-flavored ice cream for dessert, a Hokkaido specialty, and it was also good. The restaurant is located in an office building basement, and lots of office workers eat here come dinner time. The place, utensils, and grills were clean, and cabinets are provided where you can store your jackets/clothes while grilling.

Our family truly enjoyed Matsuo Genghis Khan during our holiday in Sapporo December 2022. The lamb meat was delicious and tender, and not getting any unpleasant smell usually associated with Lamb meat. They had English menu and English speaking staff that were helpful, and show us how to properly cook the Genghis Khan. Definitely will come back again on our next trip to Sapporo.

This restaurant in Hokkaido specializing in lamb dishes comes highly recommended. I went with a group of five people, and each of us ordered a set menu with a diverse selection of dishes. The lamb has a delightful aroma, and the seasoning is rich and flavorful, without any unpleasant smell. The portions are generous; in fact, one set menu per person is quite substantial. I'd suggest considering ordering four sets for a group of five. The lamb's taste is truly delightful, and the spices used add depth to the overall flavor. The beer served is refreshing and complements the meal perfectly. What made the experience even better was that we chose to pay with a JCB card. As a pleasant surprise, the restaurant gifted us a bag of delicious fries. It was an unexpected treat that added to our overall satisfaction. If you're in the area, definitely give this place a try!

Nice place to enjoy some meat. You can choose several choice of meat of lamb. Its soft and not to stinky. They have ayce menu or ala carte. All worth to try.
